Your friend used the idea for them then. Glad they worked out. I would love to see a photo of his if at all possible.
With Mikes permission I shared his idea with a member of the Daimler club, he made his up his running boards as per Mikes invention and like those on Mikes Conway, he has created a masterpiece.
If you are not already a member you will get your membership fees back in one go just using Mikes idea, then you will have a very interesting years worth of members section on this forum and a great club magazine every month completely free!!!
Hi, I followed Mike's lead and made up running boards for my Austin Ten. Did one or two minor tweeks and they came out great. Can hardly tell they are not the real thing. Ted B
I did make a good alternative for my Austin 10 Conway using ply and plasticoat. Are you a club member? If you are, you can search "running boards" in the forum and you can see what I did, or post your email, bearing in mind you are on the public view so up to you, and I will send you a PDF to show you how I did them.
There was someone making fibreglass covers but not sure who? Someone in the club will know
I am not able to find a running board cover for my austin 10 cambridge as I am almost done with the restoration.....can anyone help me out with it...thank you...!
