Hi,
There is generally insufficient slack in the wiring loom to allow the dash panel to be withdrawn while still wired up.
This means that you will need to move the driver seat rearwards to allow you to lay on your back with appropriate light etc in order to do the necessary work.
(Cushions for your back are essential!)

There should be enough length of wiring to the switch such that once the wire clip that tightens around around the rear to hold it in place is removed, you are then able to withdraw it some allowing you to access the connections.

Once you have access, I recommend taking a photo of the rear side showing the connections and wires and/or a drawing before you start disconnecting.
