Isle of Wight rally 2004

The Isle of Wight Rally has become on of the most prestidigious and well attended events of the club.
It has in the past been organized every third year and this year saw the 7th rally. The weekend event held on the last May bank holiday is themed and for the 2004 rally was to visit as many Manor houses and places of interest as time would allow. In all 8 Manor houses were on the agenda to be visited, many of which were not normally open to the public however Mike Howell the event organizer had made special arrangements for private viewing's and buffet lunches as well. The following pictures will give you a flavor of this fabulous weekend event but you have to attend to to experience the wow factor.

The second port of call is to be Calbourne Water Mill which houses a large collection of farming implements as well as the mill workings and a number of peacocks who seem to have a mind of their own. The second phase of the clues to the weekend quiz had many of us scratching our heads before giving up and retiring to the tea shop.
