The Austin Ten Drivers Club caters for Austin cars and vans manufactured between 1931 and 1939 and from 10hp to 28hp.
Austin cars of this period were sturdily built of quality materials. Old fashioned even when new they appeal to those who want a simple, reliable, easy to maintain, economical and value for money elegant old car to run or restore.
During the 1930s the Austin model range was vast. Every market niche was covered in size, taxation class, and body type. Like today some models were offered with a choice of engines. Vintage chassis designs continued to be made and sold alongside the entirely new models of the 1930s. It has been claimed that in one year in the 1930s Austin offered 44 models on 9 chassis.
Because the models are still best known by their original taxation class – 10hp as Austin Ten - Our Cars are grouped by those categories. Within each there is a range of body styles and model names.
