The engine block in my 1935 Lichfield is a 1938 10/4 Cambridge with oval water passages and this is mated to a post war cast iron head, Just watch the dimensions if you have the block and the head skimmed and make sure you use the High Compression head gasket sold by the club. Don't use the very thin gaskets with round holes that are about on eBay.

There is not such thing. Do you mean 1938?  You may find that the iron post-war cylinder head also fits as that also has the oval water passage holes.
