I don't think Austin had torque settings for anything including head nuts. I believe there should be tab washers under the nuts so just tighten them with a ring spanner and bend the tab washers.

Jasper, send me your email address via the Private Message option and I will email a document that details the workings of the 26VA. There are 3 minute channels in the emulsion block which, if blocked will contribute to the condition you're currently experencing.

I don't know if it does any good but, I add 1 fluid ounce of good quality 2 stroke oil for each gallon of petrol in the tank. My reasoning is that it acts as a U.C.L. and coats the inside of the tank which may reduce rust. So, to answer your question, a dose of Redex probably won't do any harm. The ...

That's interesting. I too have a 1933 10/4 but I don't have any grease nipples on my rear springs nor on the front either. Would that have been for export only cars I wonder?
