I have never come across such a complicated forum set up .I’ve now been a member for almost 12months and never been able to access the so called members forum or post photos. Really ann...

Re: How do you remove rear doors Austin 10 Cambridge?

Looks like you need to remove the trim from the door and the quarter panel. But not tried this myself. Anyone out there done it?

Re: Members forum

To get into the members forum you need to register your email with Membership Services & they will give you an initial password to use which you can change once you are in. Contact membership services & ask. I am not sure what you get in your new members pack these days. The Pack comes through the p...

Re: The Austin Service Journal Vol 1 1928

ATDC covers Austins of the 1930s and does not have copies of Austin Service Journals for the Vintage era. Suggest you try the VAR if you are a member. As part of its services to members ATDC gives exclusive access to member-only areas on its website & Forum - just like any other car club. This has n...

Road Casualties 2022

The peak of road casualties in Britain was 1965 when 398,000 people were recorded as injured on the roads. The equivalent figure in 2022 was 135,480 with greatly increased vehicles and vehicle miles. ATDC was founded in 1965 but there is no causal link between that and the subsequent decline in road...

Re: Highway Code 2022

When it first came out in 2022 the shops were full of imitations - apparently authorised but all at a higher price than the official one which I could not find anywhere at that time. My first experience of official road training was the Met Police demo given in the street to the pupils at my primary...

Highway Code 2022

Decided it was time to replace my 1987 Highway Code with the new one. Sadly lost my Ernest Marples version many moons ago. In 2022 when the latest version came out there was lots of bruhaha in the motoring press & elsewhere claiming it as anti-motorist and pro-cycling. Much was said about the "1.5m"...

Cheeky Santa Cover pic on Old Mag

This front cover photo from Dec 1996 caused some flurries in committee :D Mag-cover_Dec-1996-comp.jpg The Editor reported he received an anonymous letter complaining about it. Two of the committee then objected "feeling there is no place for this in a car club magazine" So - 3 members out of >1200 :...
