Re: Leather oil seals

ATDC technical fact sheet No 2 Back Axle Oil Seals is what you need. Login to the members area on the main website (not this forum) and using the green drop-down menu on the top right go to Technical Documents then scroll down the screen to the one you want. You can download this and print it off. F...

Re: Paint Code

There are said to be many shades of black. I think the club guide with suggested codes of modern colours assumes that the car is undergoing a complete repaint so the idea is to match it as closely as possible to original colours offered by Austin. The car may have been repainted in its life and / or...

Re: BRF 541 history or info?

Charlotte This maroon (and black) 1933 Austin 10 car is listed by DVLA at Swansea and is on the ATDC database. But it is neither on the road nor SORN and no current member of ATDC claims ownership. Hopefully it might be lurking in someone's garage or barn somewhere. DVLA shows it has been untaxed si...

Re: Austin 10 Steam, pouring from overflow

Your choice of car is a good one. Simple and sturdy design that is easily worked on without too many special tools or test gadgets. You need more coolant in the radiator than 2 litres. For a Lichfield about 8 litres as Phil says. Remove the radcap & have a look into the header tank with a torch. You...
