What on earth is this about, somebody please explain.
Phishing spam sometimes gets thru' the layers of protection but most is kept out. When it does it gets reported or spotted by me and removed. As Rod says do NOT click on any links.

Re: Fuel tank sender

Hi can anyone tell me if you have to remove the petrol tank on a 1935 austin Litchfield to get to the fuel tank sender unit. Thanks Chris It may be easier to remove the tank so as to deal with the likely rusted up screws holding the sender unit in place. With the Lichfield you should be able to see...

Re: Spare wheel for a 47 10.

Out of interest, why does the club quote only pre war dates and not the entire production run dates? Is mine beyond the pale? :D Robin There is no simple answer. History plays a part. The club was formed to rescue and preserve the pre-war cars that were heading into scrap yards in vast numbers in t...

Re: New USA owner 47 Austin 10 questions

For your post-war Austin 10 the best handbook is The Cassell Book by Ellison Hawks. https://www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/title/the-cassell-book-of-austin-10/author/hawks-ellison/ Page 45 suggested lubricants are: Engine: summer SAE30, Winter SAE20. Interestingly these are thinner oils than was rec...

Fitting new bushes to the springs reduced the body roll by a fair bit.
Good news.

Re: BODY ROLL

In the 1980s a club member used to market "spring aids" which were had a pointy top which just touched the chassis. Members including myself never had trouble with the MoT because of them. But they were not hollow, I know that because my spare pair got trashed by tools in my toolbox. I once used one...
