Re: Air Filter 10/4
There is no air filter as such on pre-Cambridge - just a metal disc which may act as a deflector but is there primarily as part of the choke mechanism mounting.

Re: Fuel guage fluid 10/4 1933
Have found a company called Fiennes Parts.
The site seems current, however, I would want to know that the tank part of the Hobson system is intact and working before spending on the fluid.

You can get the fluid from america but apart from it being not very human friendly, it can evaporate and the system is somewhat unreliable at the tank end.

Definitely a bitsa/special, unfortunately someone will likely buy it believing it to be genuine.
Undoubtedly a lot of work and expense has gone into the car but authentic it is not.

Re: No spark
Hi Cidermaster, I don't think the test you are carrying out is correct as you would only get a brief but very high voltage which potentially might destroy your testing device. The tester if of the continuity type won't beep as there is no direct contact between the HT lead / rotor arm / distributor ...

Re: Fitting bottom hose on a Sherborne
So is the need for a shield a design fault or is it a case of getting more mileage from a fan belt or would a new fan belt obviate the need for a hose shield?
