Headlight bulb holder

Hi has anyone got a headlight bulb holder for a 1934 an Austin 10/4 the one that takes a double filament bulb for head and dip beam. Thanks Mike

Try Club Spares they may have some in the used parts. You will need to explain that you want bulb holders with two studs but not offset pins. Or you can get them online from one of the many classic car parts firms. 1930s Austins did not have double dipping when new but only since it was made compulsory in law in 1972 for cars dating from 1931 onwards to have them. You may have to compomise on the bulb focus as between dip & main. Alternatively investigate fitting conversion rims to take pre-focus dipping headlight units.

Many thanks for the prompt reply Peter. I have the mini conversion with the sealed beam units, was trying to revert back to original, wouldn't be doing any night driving and think the conversion looks just like frogeyes, probably one of my quirks. Will try spares and have a look around also. Many thanks again .Mike Hobson

You are right the conversion rims do look like frog eyes.
