Does any kind soul have a copy of this publication? either hard copy or scanned?

I have the 1928 Volume 2.  June-July, 1928 which has so far proved to be extremely useful to me as I have a 1928 16/6, 1928 being there first year of production but I suspect Volume 1 and also later volumes would be equally enlightening also.

I have a scanned copy of mine should members wish and emailed PDF of it.

Perhaps a silly question, but have you checked the club’s archive?

I’ve seen your request on the A7 forum, I’m sure between us all, we can find you a copy!

Unfortunately I am not a paid member here and so am unable to access any of these technical documents or forum like I used too, though I am a VAR member here in New Zealand and have owned Austin Ten Fours and have many of the technical documents for that car archived from my research here in New Zealand.

The ATDC forum and website is extremely limited to non members and really is just a bit of a blockage to the flow of information that the ATDC should really be promoting, I presume there was a policy update that has left this situation in place as many years ago I had no trouble navigating the ATDC website and forum, changing times I guess.

ATDC covers Austins of the 1930s and does not have copies of Austin Service Journals for the Vintage era. Suggest you try the VAR if you are a member.

As part of its services to members ATDC gives exclusive access to member-only areas on its website & Forum - just like any other car club. This has not changed since launch of the inter-active website 11 years ago.

Hi Graeme,
I know Denis Le Cren donated/sold a full set of the Austin service Journals to the NZ VAR back in 2016, his for sale advertisement in the club mag for Dec 2015 says "Set of original Austin Service Journals in 23 Volumes covering all models".
I assume you've been in touch with the archivist (is it still Ross Vesey?) to see if they go back far enough for your car?

Thanks for that I will enquire.
Unfortunately Ross passed away quite recently however the post of Archivist has been filled by the person from whom I got my last 16/6 ! its a small world :)
