Today renewed my policy on the Austins. Received a renewal notice last week and had been looking at alternative quotes as price had risen again this year. Closest I could find was 18% more than RH and with severely limited mileage. RH is unlimited mileage. Also my Cambridge is covered for "on the drive" storage at home. Other quotes all required garaging. Roadside & Recovery includes Home Start. Do any other pre-war or classic insurers offer that? Not used it but might in future.
So was going to phone RH today but Mathew of RH phoned me first. Quickly & efficiently took me through the usual checks and reminders and renewed on phone. E-docs arrived in my inbox immediately.
Have not yet had to make a claim but have twice used the RH roadside & recovery (non-Austin part failure on each occasion). Each time was impressed by the pro-active way they kept in touch to ensure I had been recovered as they had promised. Unlike my experience of other (specialist) recovery firms (RAC) who leave you for ages by the roadside, send a mechanic who damages the car, and ignore you once the callout has been made.
So RH is that rare beast - a company that is pro-active and does what it claims to do & all at a competitive price. Providing the traditional quality and value for money that appeals to Austin 10 owners.
BTW my prediction is that IPT will increase in the coming year.

I’ve used RH for years, slight increase in premium this year but for the service you get, I couldn’t argue and renewed straight away.
