1934 Austin 10 Tourer Back Light for Brakes/Stop/Indicator

I apologise if this is a repeated request but can anyone tell me where I can get a back light re Brake,Stop And indicator fitting. We have one but need another.

It depends what kind of rear lights you need but there are a number of sources of suitable types for an Austin 10.

Round "pork pie" lights were fitted to the Tens and larger Austins from 1931 to 1936. The new models introduced in Aug 1936, Cambridge, New Ascot an Goodwood etc had D lamps at the rear. From late 1938 only one rear light was fitted in the centre and these are not reproduced but from the 1950s many of these cars had lamps fitted to both the rear wings.

Hey Peter, the single rear lamp for the 38 onwards cars is a Lucas ST52/A, I believe. While you don't seem to be able to get an exact replica with the dividing bar across the red lens, the Ford 103E Popular rear lamp E04A-13407 is a reasonable facsimile if anyone is desperate. My 39 Goodwood has one of these on it and it looks to have been fitted many many years ago.

Thanks Rod that looks as tho' it would look better than the one I got for my '38 Cambridge
