Redex??

Post by Jasper » Mon Nov 01, 2021 4:50 pm

Hi
Would there be any benefit for my 1933 10/4, of adding a squirt of Redex to the tank???

Regards to all

I don't know if it does any good but, I add 1 fluid ounce of good quality 2 stroke oil for each gallon of petrol in the tank. My reasoning is that it acts as a U.C.L. and coats the inside of the tank which may reduce rust. So, to answer your question, a dose of Redex probably won't do any harm. The experts may however disagree with me.

Often described as an "upper cylinder lubricant" a shot of Redex is a tradition for many who drive cars with side-valve engines. Also claims to keep fuel systems clean. See their website @ https://www.holtsauto.com/redex/
