Fuel starvation???

Post by Jasper » Fri Feb 11, 2022 4:09 pm

Replaced gasket etc with repair kit (Zenith 26 VA Carb) Engine starts and runs with choke right out, but will not tickover or run unless choke right out. Getting despondent now. New inline fuel filter fitted...could it be too small?? Fuel in carb bowl so pump ok. Any ideas gratefully received!!

Thanks in anticipation

Jasper, send me your email address via the Private Message option and I will email a document that details the workings of the 26VA. There are 3 minute channels in the emulsion block which, if blocked will contribute to the condition you're currently experencing.

If you're a member of this forum then the option should be at the top right hand corner of the page.

If the option is not there then click on your name and select "User Control Panel."
Select "Board Preferences", under "Edit global settings" there is an option that allows users to send and receive PM's...make sure the button is selected.
