Am looking for some different wheel rims for my gs1 the car is standard but looking for more (modern rims) a little wider for radial tyres . Any help advise appreciated

Your car was conventionally designed to the standards of the time when it was produced, probably '45 to '47.
You have rigid axles front and rear. If you fit radial tyres you will experience a harsher ride than with crossplies and in addition you will find the steering heavier. The increased strain on the ball joints encourages rapid wear on the steering linkages.
Although these cars were never very lively, with well set up steering and brakes they are pleasant vehicles to drive.
In my opinion, if you fit modern wheels and tyres you simply detract from the appearance and character of the car.
Gilding the Lily is not an improvement.
