Looking for the owner of an Austin 10 BUW634

Hi,

Know this is a long shot but looking to find the owner of an Austin 10 Lichfield reg BUW634, it used to belong to my grandparents and was wanting to see it again.

The good news is that this car is still registered with the DVLA as being on the road. It has been on the ATDC database for several decades but does not have any current member claiming ownership of it.

With the Data Protection Act and more recently GDPA making it difficult to access information about current owners I am not sure how you can find them. DVLA sells such data to commercial organisations such as those who claim parking violations on private property but seem less inclined to share data with private individuals.

Any one out there managed to trace a current owner who can advise?

Just to let you know this car is up for auction on 26th November 2022 with Historic Auctions at Mercedes Benz World, Brooklands.

Search for historics [dot] co [dot] uk and then look for lot number 107.

It is on with no Reserve. You can view it in advance tomorrow (24th) or Friday (25th). The chassis No. and engine No. shown are same as ATDC records. The "Car No" (Body No) is GRB 14142 and it was 1st registered 18/3/1935. If you are considering a bid then you can get a quote for insurance from RH Specialist Insurance (discount if you are a club member). When I was contemplating buying a car at auction last year RH gave me a quote and said I only needed to pay if I did buy it.
