Zenith 36VEI-9 carburettor?

Post by Rod » Sun Aug 28, 2022 11:12 pm

For a Sept 1938 build Goodwood, I'm hoping someone can put me on to a useable 36VEI-9 either CS 762 or CS 883 (the CS number should be stamped on the side of the base flange). The CS 762 one should also have F1365 stamped in the 'number' field on the float bowl cover part of the body ( I don't have a number for the CS 883). These CS numbers are for 23mm and 25mm choke respectively
I've contacted both Burlen/Zenith and Eric at the Carburettor Hospital (both unable to assist with replacement) and have an enquiry out with Alderton Austin. As I'm on the opposite side of the world its a bit hard to find likely sources in the UK without some inside knowledge from UK residents.
Thanks in Advance
Rod
