Hi All,
i have recently inherited my Grandads 1932 Austin 10/4 saloon. MV6008. This is an incredible car with log book/service history for its entire life. 33,000 miles on the clock and a wonderful 297 hour restoration by my grandad back in 2014.
with very little knowledge about the car and its workings i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of original 1932 literature e.g. handbook/manual/service and parts etc. anything that will help to improve my understanding of the car. in addition, if there is any modern literature that is highly recomennded i would be grateful for.
kind regards,
Josh Hickin
Josh welcome to Austin ownership.
Your best bet is to join the ATDC to get access to the members area of this forum and the monthly magazine, help from the technical wizards and a very helpful group of forum members.
Then seek out a copy of Stanton Abbey's book of the Austin 10, it is a compact very simple to follow DIY guide to all models, including the one you have. ebay often have them quite cheaply.
Then you can enjoy your new car to the full.

Or Josh, try here for the book.

Well there we are folks.
Josh came, got what he needed and went, not a by your leave or a thank you.
Perhaps next time he is in trouble he will be a bit more thoughtful.
