Headlining

Can anyone tell me what kind of material was used for headlining on 1934 Austins? Vinyl,Cloth, Felt ?
I am restoring a Kempton and have no original linings.

Ken let me have your email i did the headlining on my Lichfield about 2 years ago (i took some photos)as i ripped the complete roof out as someone years ago blanked it all off as it should have had a sunroof, which it now has as i made that while i was at it,i will check tomorrow for the carpet patterns.Ted

Re: Headlining

Morning all. If you own a 1930's Austin then common sense says you have to join the club.

The questions asked here and by other guests are answered on this forum for free, if you are a member you can access so many more services and so much information for less than the cost of a pint a month, an absolute bargain and it will repay it's self many times over.

Membership is cheap and compared with your other motoring costs very good value for money.

Members contribute greatly to this forum and give you freely  their valuable time and knowledge of our cars, it is free, the very least you can do is join the club and support them in their efforts to make life with an Austin so much better.

Dipping in and out of this forum and not joining the club is disrespectful to those who spend so much time and effort on your behalf.

Go for it bite the bullet and join today.

Rant over, Merry Christmas smile Syd
