    Saturday 16th November 2019

Organised by the North Hampshire Austin Enthusiast Group (NHAEG) on behalf of the ATDC as this Clubs contribution to the Inter-Register Club annual calendar of events. This is a Navigation Scatter road run incorporating orienteering on foot at a range of destinations that may be visited. It is unique among Inter-Register Events as it takes place after dark.

    Scatter Run

Up to 9 locations out of a total of 12 may be visited to score points. Each of 6 marshalled halts has an orienteering task to be completed on foot in order to find the bird name.  The harder they are the higher the score.  At the 6 unstaffed halts the bird name may be found by accurate map reading and navigation.

    Timing

No merit is attached to covering the lowest mileage or completing the driving event in the fastest time. But there is an overall time limit. Necessary so the marshalls can return and the scores be calculated.

    Old Basing Village Hall

Start and Finish here.  Scrutineering, drivers briefing, and route plotting all done here before setting off.  Meal (pre-booked) and prize-giving after the event. Maps OS 50:000 Landranger Nos 185 Winchester & Basingstoke and 175 Reading & Windsor.

    Trophies

Range of prizes including for Beginners and Novice crews.
