Re: Renewing Your Driving Licence Online wirh DVLA
Just done mine Peter and the new licence was with me in just a few days. I’ve kept the old one just in case and yes, I’ve still got my old red licence too!

Re: Drive-it-Day 2024
Living between Bicester Heritage an Silverstone, we were inundated around here! I was one of the few pre-war cars out and about, but lots of later classics were bombing around the lanes, particularly classic Americans for some reason.
I wasn’t actually on a Drive it Day run…just going shopping!

Re: Sticking valve
Hi Trev, you need to log in with a username and password.
I linked to the forum via the ATDC web site under the members area and then set up my user name and password and that opens up the main forum where there are a range of different headings such as technical, events and that sort of thing.

Re: Sticking valve
Hi Trev, having suffered this myself after the car had been off the road for a long time, I’ve done this job several times! Since using the car regularly, the problem hasn’t recurred. Anyway, you can try “cheating” by trying Liqui Moly in the petrol, I have found that very effective five freeing off...

Re: The Austin Service Journal Vol 1 1928
Perhaps a silly question, but have you checked the club’s archive?
I’ve seen your request on the A7 forum, I’m sure between us all, we can find you a copy!

Re: Interior trim
For some reason, I can only post photographs in the main part of the forum open to Austin Ten Drivers Club members, but I believe the powers that be are trying to see if I can post the shots here.
I have photographs of the seats, the door trims and the headlining, which I’m sure will be of interest!

Re: Interior trim
I think everyone is shying away from this question, because to do the job properly you need to have quality leather facings with as near as possible pre war style grain, matching leathercloth trim panels, West of England cloth headlining and the correct carpet and it doesn’t come cheap, but you will...

Re: Josie is home
I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong but I think it had a fibreboard type liner with a West of England cloth type finish.

Re: Grille badge
Casting the “no screw” badges might be a nice little winter project then!
