Advice & Guidance for Event Organisers

Involving motor vehicles on or off the Public Highway

If you are intending to organise a motoring event you will need to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and ensure you are covered as an organiser by the Club's Public Libility insurance policy. This is not too difficult to do because our events are not motor sport or competitive road rallies.

To ensure your ideas comply with the law and to get Club public liablility cover as an organiser you need to tell the Events Secretary in good time details of what you propose. As a minimum 28 clear days prior to the event. The Events Sec will provide you with the latest guidance, check sheet and risk assessment sheet which you will need to complete and return.
